Bonus Day 5 ACFW Twitter Course

Day 5
Today, let’s talk a little about Hootsuite and taking your Twitter game into the Big Leagues.
(If you want in-depth information on how to use bulk uploading with Hootsuite, I have a step-by-step ebook available on the subject. This ebook also walks you through many of the lessons we’ve talked about in this short course, and it does so very slowly so you can learn Twitter through-and-through.)
For today I want you to know that Hootsuite is available, and it can take your tweeting from scatter-shot to a well-oiled, thought-out campaign. Of every tool in my book-selling arsenal, Hootsuite is the one that took me from an author with some books to a #1 Best Selling author.
With Hootsuite, you can pre-schedule tweets so you don’t have to sit and physically send each and every tweet. You can run multiple feeds (great if you have, say a social feed and a sales feed).
To see Hootsuite, simply go to: http://www.hootsuite.com
The free version lets you manually schedule tweets.
For $9.99 a month, you can bulk upload tweets which saves an incredible amount of time. However, if you are going to go the bulk upload route, I really recommend getting the book or you will be super-frustrated in no time at all. I went through the head-dents-on-the-desk frustration so you don’t have to!)
Doing bulk upload, you can schedule up to 50 tweets per upload. I can spend 5-8 minutes in the morning and have tweets running on my sales feed every 10 minutes for 24 hours.
And I do.
They say you shouldn’t tweet that much, but the reality is most followers are following many feeds, and a follower might spend 10 minutes on Twitter at a time, and then they go about their day. With Hootsuite, you have a much better shot at hitting that person’s feed in those ten minutes they are on, and with the 100’s of tweets you’ve written and are writing, no one will ever feel like they’ve read that same tweet every time they see your name!
Plus, those who follow my feed @StaciStallings know that it is about my books and nothing else.
So decide what kind of feed you want to have and brand it that way! Have fun tweeting!

Using Affliate Marketing
Here’s a tip I’ve known about for over 10 years but could never make work for me until just recently. It’s called affiliate marketing, and it goes like this: You sign up as an affiliate (let’s say on Amazon). You list Amazon products (books, treadmills, telescopes, whatever) on your site. Anyone who clicks…
Records, Sales, and Counting
One of the things you will want to do from the first time you publish a book is to track your sales. Now if you’re a traditionally published author, this can be quite difficult as you won’t see sales in real time. You will get a quarterly statement, and that will make this…
Where to go from here…
Well, our time together has been great fun! It is time now to put all of this knowledge into action (for you and for me!). But before I go, I want to point you in the direction of other people and places who can help you on your quest to becoming a best…
Amazon Lists
I must make mention of one of the best things you can do to sell ebooks and books, which will also prove the most frustrating — Amazon’s lists. There are several lists to be aware of (and use if you can) on Amazon. Best Seller’s lists — there is an overall best seller’s…
